Carson Gladson: A Book Presentation

As a group assignment, we all had to get together and create a book. A way to represent not only El Camino’s Art Gallery, but also Carson Gladson’s art. At the end, I came up with this idea…

Back (left) Cover (right)…

These are small images because they are too many to place them all any bigger. As before, you can double click to view them larger, or if you like to see the pdf, just touch this link —> GladsonWebSample
Even though this book wasn’t one of the chosen, I had a very fun experience to put something together on my own, my ideas, my talent. I did get pros and con feedbacks which I honestly appreciate because not only were they professional opinions but also this is something I honestly want to major in and it helps. Hope I get to do more of these in the future.
Again…comments are much appreciated.

“Be the Change” Chapter 6 Remake

This work is a replica of a book called “Be the Change.” The Art Director was Jocelyn Foye, my Graphic Design Professor here at El Camino. This is a good practice on the software InDesign and of course, a new design concept I can now maybe use in the future.

The most difficulty I had with this was trying to make it decent looking. Professor Foye gave us the original example so we can work with, but some things were wrong and we worked on it together to see how it would look best. Overall, it was a nice project to learn from in class and some day professionally as a art director in a published book.

This was a quick practice from the assignment we were getting later on. We got the pictures, we got the text, now we have to create something out of it. This is what I came up with.

It’s simple and classic. I admit it’s not great but still ok. I like it 🙂
